At a Regular Army base, Gisee tells Midori that she had an odd dream where something offered her the ability to make an idea reality. Midori asks Gisee if anyone else had a similar experience, which she is unable to answer. Soon later, Midori experiences the same dream and disappears alongside several engineers.
The following day, Tyra catches up to Gisee and tells her that they've found Midori and the missing engineers in an underground facility alongside civilians from the nearby towns. As such, they've been tasked to investigate the facility to check if anyone is performing illegal experiments.
Midori wakes up in the facility with several Reachers commenting on how they could transcend themselves. Noticing that she's waking up, they sedate her. Elsewhere in the facility, Gisee and Tyra start to clear the facility of enemies, with Howell beginning treatment on the missing people and Midori. Midori informs the two that a Necro Brain Robot is responsible for the dreams and that the Reachers have captured children, telling her to destroy the robot.
The two destroy the robot as the Reachers begin discussing their future and what would happen to them. Tyra is relieved to have stopped their ambitions, while Gisee notes that they're human. The Reachers tell them that humans are cruel despite talking about good. With the robot destroyed, the Reachers return to space and destroy the facility, with a search by the Regular Army yielding nothing of interest. Outside, Midori is relieved to see Gisee. Gisee tells Midori that she should get some rest before Tyra asks about the dream. This prompts Gisee to ask what dream she had; the dream, created by the robot, asked her what idea she wanted to make a reality. Midori's dream was to improve Gisee's weaponry to access the technology of other armies; however, embarrassed to talk about it, claims that it's a secret, much to Gisee's surprise.
