Butterfly Disaster is the eighty-fourth Extra Ops introduced in Metal Slug Attack.

Story

A backstory about Fedeln Metzelei is told, about how he met a young girl and extended his hand towards her. It's assumed the girl died, as he was extremely poisonous.

In the present, Nowan is assigned on a mission with Fedeln, which the invader finds annoying because of Fedeln's weird personality. Arriving on Earth, Fedeln is fascinated with the environment, but accidentally destroys it with his poison. Nowan yells at Fedeln for almost getting them killed, as they barely managed to get the anti-body suit Annette provided them on in time. Fedeln apologizes, stating that he can't control his poison.

Ptolemaic troops soon arrive to subdue the two. Caroline informs them that Fedeln is extremely poisonous, and that they must keep their gas masks on at all times. Despite the protection, the gas masks melt to his poison, so Caroline takes over with the Space Metal Rear.

Fedeln is soon shot at despite the Space Rear taking heavy damage, but Nowan notices that he has stopped shedding scales and asks what the Ptolemaics done with him. Fedeln is constantly shot at and enjoys the pain he's taking. Nowan states that they'd let him die, but since Annette would yell at them, grudgingly protects him. Nowan fissions many clones and the two manage to get away, with Nowan posing as a Ptolemaic soldier.

Out in space, Fedeln expresses his desire to return to Earth. Nowan states that they will not go with him, prompting Fedeln to state that Nowan is cruel.
