Combat School (unlocked at level 4) is a new game mode introduced in Metal Slug Attack that has inherited traits of Metal Slug Defense's Mission mode.
The player is presented with a Training List - a set of challenges that rotate depending on the day of the week. The Training List consists of 5 mission types that are further broken down into 6 difficulties (Training Programs) - harder difficulties require specific levels to play. A selection of mission types can be completed three times each day (losses don't count, and the school refreshes at 0400 hours server time) regardless of the difficulty chosen. Items and MSP are given for every victory.

Daily quests offer 100 EXP and 5,000 MSP for scoring at least one victory in the Combat School [as of 1.3.0].

Releasing P.O.W.s[]
This mission type requires destroying contraptions that bind P.O.W.s at the end of the level (other P.O.W.s on the way there are optional). Restraints cannot be targeted directly, necessitating the use of special attacks (the AI doesn't consider P.O.W.s hostile even though they appear purple on the radar).
