Flat Nose Soldier is the two hundred and ninety-second Extra Ops and the sixty-second Rare Boss Extra Ops introduced in Metal Slug Attack.

Story

At a Ptolemaic facility, Caroline and Towa are onboard Caroline's latest creation, the Pug's Meal. It absorbs a tiny piece of equipment and Towa is left surprised by how it was able to convert the equipment into energy. Towa remarks on how its both a mix of goofiness and genius, although she questions the inspiration behind the weapon. Caroline then decides to impress Towa by going further away from the base, much to Towa's concern.

Elsewhere, Sho is somewhat unconscious as he recalls that his master had sent him for another "training" session before feeling that something is sucking him in. Desperate not to get sucked inside, he clings onto something. Back on the Pug's Meal, Caroline wonders what's taking so long, only for Towa to realize that they're sucking in a living being and tells her to stop as she looks at the data. Sho is terrified, having felt like he was going to die as his body was half gone. Caroline mutters about making better sensors while Towa talks with Sho. Sho orders them to move out just as a large eruption occurs.

The three check their new surroundings and Caroline discovers that the Pug's Meal pulled out a Jupiter Tank MK II from the ground. Nantes then arrives, shocked that the enemy discovered the secret facility and mobilizes the defense. Sho realizes that Yoshino had sent him here knowing that there was a facility to investigate and resolves to complete his task. Meanwhile, Caroline demands to have the Jupiter Tank.

During the fight, Nantes panics as the trio try to attack a pillar as it would destabilize the facility and runs away, much to Caroline's surprise, although she claims that she isn't doing so. Caroline orders Towa to absorb the Jupiter Tank while Sho goes out to investigate the facility further, advising them to be careful not to suck other people in, although his advice falls on deaf ears. The duo wait for a prolonged amount of time, prompting Towa to ask if they should disassemble it first. Caroline states that it should only be done as a last resort and goes out to make modifications, asking her to change the program.

Nantes, not wanting to retreat in shame, finds a still-working tank and rams Caroline with it, sending her face into the reinforced glass of the pilot's seat. Towa then realizes that the inspiration for the Pug's Meal came from a dog's face before asking her if she's okay.
