Freestyle is the one hundred and fifty-fifth Extra Ops and the thirty-eighth Rare Boss introduced in Metal Slug Attack.

Story[]

At the Rebel Army base, Grazia is overseeing the construction of her newest weapon; the Blaze Keesi, and orders her soldiers to paint it more red to signify the power of the Blaze Brigade. Norah and Loretta watch alongside their commander, complimenting its size and color. Grazia then orders a sortie when painting is finished so they can overshadow Beatriz.

On the battlefield, Matilda and Miharu encounter Blaze Brigade, the former having heard stories about them. Miharu tells her to go for their commanders, as a head-on attack is suicide with the battleship covering them. Matilda rushes to confront the enemy with what she learned from her, confusing Miharu as she never remembered making Matilda her pupil.

Grazia leads Blaze Brigade in annihilating the Ptolemaic Army as Loretta notices an attack coming and shoves Grazia out of the way, being wounded in the process. Matilda notes that she's much stronger than she expected, as the attack should've taken her down in a single hit. Miharu then arrives, noting that Matilda failed to kill Loretta in a single hit. Grazia then sics the Blaze Keesi on Matilda, forcing her to use her "GO Mode"; Miharu states that she never has such a mode, while Grazia believes she is just spewing nonsense. Matilda states that she's telling the truth, but regardless she wishes to climb the ranks and in order to do so she must rely on her strength to do so.

Grazia orders more soldiers to the front, but Norah tells her that most of their soldiers have been hurt and there's a problem with the Blaze Keesi's engine. Matilda then tries to finish them off in a single blow with her special technique. Miharu notes that she is wild and her words are careless, but knows that she is very strong. Grazia snaps and unleashes a large plume of flames, surprising Matilda. Miharu tells her to avoid the flames, as they won't inflict a mere burn. Loretta comes to, somewhat disappointed with Grazia using her actual power in an insignificant battle and advises her to retreat. Grazia believes it is equivalent to a loss, but Loretta persuades her in an non-offensive manner.

Matilda is disappointed with their cowardice, but her flames are still on the field and touching them would turn all into ash, so Matilda does not pursue them. Miharu notes the crimson flames, and although she does not wish to be bothered any further, decides to report the battle to the Minister.
