Growing Ninja is the ninety-sixth Extra Ops introduced in Metal Slug Attack.

Story

Yoshino takes her apprentice Sho out to a quiet area to train. Sho is uncomfortable, one due to the area they are training at and two because she is somehow able to read his mind. Yoshino tells Sho that he needs more confidence and shouldn't be in self-doubt.

After finishing their training, Yoshino tells Sho that she had Dragunov assign him a mission. When they are about to leave, Yoshino tells Sho to lay low; a meteorite soon crashes down on them. Schwarz Metzelei asks the two if they are the "P.M. soldiers" she is looking for, and Yoshino states that they are. Schwarz states that the Ptolemaic Army has caused the Invaders too much trouble and that she was tasked with eliminating them, excited with eating more humans.

Yoshino tells Sho to take care of Schwarz and the weapon behind her, seemingly abandoning him. Sho is surprised and wonders why his master is abandoning him. As the fight progresses, Sho uses his signature attack, "Air Rend", inflicting a severe hit on Schwarz. She warns him that she will eat him for sure next time before leaving with the weapon.

Yoshino then comes out of her hiding spot and congratulates Sho, who is excited to have won against uneven odds for the first time. Sho notices Yoshino's hand is clenched and asks her why before she punches him, stating that he's still too young (and the fact that he did not even notice her), to which he apologizes for.
