Lost Memories is the two hundred and eighty-fifth Extra Ops and the eighteenth Recapture Extra Ops introduced in Metal Slug Attack.
Story[]
Navy recalls a dream about her first meeting with Vita. As she recalls Vita's new start on life, a explosion echoes through the air and startles her. A scientist comes in and informs her that the Easterners are attacking the research facility; while the soldiers are firmly defending their positions, the enemy appears to be drawing on endless reinforcements. Navy calls for Vita to expel the invaders, but finds her missing.
As more explosions rumble the area, Navy takes a look at the situation and finds Vita outside, having gone completely berserk and attacking friend and foe alike. Navy, seeing no other choice to get Vita to calm down, rushes off to take an untested product. She gulps the pill and runs out with new goggles and a gatling gun; the pill was taken so that she could fight at the front, as her poor constitution would get in the way otherwise, while the gun was jointly developed with Emma.
Out on the battlefield, Vita faces off against the Impact Cannon as a large explosion catches Navy by surprise. She then spots a soldier (the player) hiding and asks them to assist in helping Vita and collecting ammo for her special gun.
At the first location, Navy runs into Keisetsu, who tries to negotiate for ammo. Navy jokingly offers her gun, much to Emma's displeasure.
At the third location, Vita runs into Ouka, who takes the ammo the samurai hoarded through a deception, much to her anger.
Navy fires a barrage of special ampoules from her gatling gun, leaving a massive hole on the side of the Impact Cannon and stopping it in its tracks. Vita then realizes Navy is around and with the primary threat stopped, falls to the ground. Navy holds Vita and asks the soldier to get Emma, thanking them for their assistance.
Vita regains consciousness and returns to her normal self, much to Navy's relief. She scolds the cyborg for being reckless, but Vita in turn returns it due to knowing that Navy is not a fighter and that she had taken the experimental drug despite its potential dangers. After a brief talk, Emma comes in laughing and remarks on how Navy had insisted the gatling gun be modified to help weapons and artificial humans before leaving. After a short and awkward moment of silence, Navy breaks it by claiming that she isn't good at that "type of thing" while Vita holds Navy's arm and thanks her for her actions and remarks on how it wouldn't be bad to stay by her side, although Navy does not notice this remark due to Vita pressing on her arm.
Elsewhere, the three ronin reconvene, surprised they all got ammo. Ouka and Tsukikage begin arguing over sending the Impact Cannon and its lack of promising results, while Keisetsu looks on with disappointment as the boss would scold them as they were both liable for the problems in battle.
