This incarnation of the Masked Soldier became resurrected at the same time as Ptolemaios (following his defeat at the hands of Red Goblin), and became available as a playable unit during the Extra Ops titled "Signs of Curse". He was first seen in Metal Slug 5 during the final mission, before the Mammoth Tower boss fight.
His primary attack fires curse balls directly at the enemy (similar to the Martian's ray gun). However, his curse ball lacks the homing ability, which the red Masked Soldier has. His special fires more rapidly, and extends from four to seven shots if 4 is unlocked; with
2, it can additionally stun enemies.
With 1, he is able to resurrect once per deployment, and
3 additionally grants evasion. This makes him useful against enemies which would otherwise wipe him out with a single blow, all but ensuring he'll get a chance to fire his stun attack.
When placed in the same deck as Cursed Ptolemaios, their AP costs are lowered by 10%, as a result of the "Signs of Curse" team bonus.
