Navy is overseeing the excavation of powerful energy alongside Vita and Nova. She is then informed that they are under attack by the Ptolemaic Army. Refusing to allow the enemy to claim the powerful energy source, she orders Vita and Nova to help out at the front while she tries to remotely detonate the energy.
Arriving at the battlefield, the two are met with numerous slain Rebel personnel, who are being decimated by the Ptolemaic Army's newest Laser Units. Vita snaps at the sight of death and refuses to dodge incoming attacks, much to Nova's concern.
Vita proceeds to go berserk and destroys the enemy without regard to her own safety. Nova contacts Navy and tells her of this, who realizes that she has gone into her "annoying" mode and allows Nova to knock her back to her senses. Nova does so by snapping Vita's prosethic leg, who tells her that the scene of death reminded her of the time before she became a cyborg, and that she wanted to bring the dead with her.
Returning to base, Navy proceeds to operate on Vita. A few hours later, several worried Rebel soldiers arrive, thanking her for saving them and are worried about her own safety.
Back at the battlefield, Mira is left unfazed by the explosion and absorbs the surrounding anima. Remarking of the many futures that she saw from the Omen, she wonders if there were more hidden, believing that she could give her father a good present if she could find out.
