Same Direction is the sixty-ninth Extra Ops and the seventeenth Rare Boss introduced in Metal Slug Attack.

Story

Allen Jr. retreats from the battlefield after being defeated by Walter Rian, demanding that he will get his revenge on him someday. His soldiers see this and are visibly upset that Allen Jr. is abandoning them.

Allen Jr. returns to base, where he enjoys a relaxing shower. Suddenly, Julia bursts in, causing Allen Jr. to fluster and become embarrassed. Julia rants at Allen Jr. for retreating and leaving his men at the mercy of the Regular Army, and that it's also caused the secret weapons Formor+ and The Keesi III+ to fall into their hands. She then forces Allen Jr. to accompany her to the battlefield.

Back at the rebel base, the Regular Army soldiers look at the new weapons and begin to prepare their defenses for Allen Jr.'s incoming counterattack. Allen Jr. and Julia drive the Regular Army soldiers away from the base. Julia is informed by soldiers at the front that they have reclaimed the Formor+ and Keesi III+. Julia is prepares to address the soldiers, but gets interrupted by Allen Jr., who demands the soldiers to thank him. The soldiers know that Allen Jr. is trying to hog all the glory. Julia considers the fact that all the soldiers are safe, and believes that Allen Jr. is a genius. Because the soldiers believe Julia, they change their mind about Allen Jr. and thank him too. Allen Jr. hoists Julia in front of the assembled crowd, embarrassing her. Allen Jr. then asks Julia if they should take a shower together, and she responds by slapping him in the cheek, causing the soldiers to laugh.
