Status Strengthening (Stats Upgrading) (unlocked at Level 25) are first introduced by update 4.9.0 during Task Force 1st. The initial set serves to strengthen unit resistance against specific attacks, making them less susceptible to their effects. Such items were originally obtained only upon reaching box 11 in the Task Force Crank, although subsequent events have made them available through all box levels.
They've also appeared during Rare Boss Extra Ops, first as a reward in Gluttony of Disaster. Whenever a Rare Boss strikes, there is a chance for a purple-haired P.O.W to appear alongside the Rare Boss icon. When the stage is completed, one random Status Strengthening item is awarded.
Such items are applied under a unit's "Unit Strengthening" (Unit Upgrade) page. Two may be equipped for each evolution - 2x at iron, 4x at bronze, 6x at silver, 8x at gold, and the maximum of 10x at platinum. Each of the four items listed below apply a 7% resistance chance against the relevant status. For example, if a unit has been equipped with ten stun resistance items (for a total of 70% resistance) and is hit by an attack with 50% stun capability, then the said attack has a 15% chance of stunning that unit. Probably.
Apart from being limited by a unit's evolution frame, it also costs an increasing amount of MSP for every additional piece equipped.
Task Force 2nd introduced two new skill strengthening items, boosting Attack and Health. They're obtained in the same manner Resistance strengthening items, however, only specific units may equip them. Subsequent updates have each typically made anywhere from two to six more units eligible. These items are intended to bring formerly obsolete units back into action.
Attack / Health bonuses varies depending on the unit receiving them, and are generally much larger for older units than they are for more recent ones.
Before applying Status Strengthening items, it is recommended that the player test them in the Laboratory first to determine whether or not the buff is worthwhile, as once the items are applied, they cannot be taken out. There are many factors as to determine whether or not the items will be worth for the unit, such as mechanics and synergy with other units.
List of Status Strengthening Items[]
Resistance[]
Most units are able to equip all of these. However, if the unit possesses stun immunity (as both a counter and treating them as normal attacks) on their unit information, then they are ineligible for stun resistance items. This generally depends on the unit in question, as partial stun immunity (e.g Immortal Allen, who's only stun immune in his last form) can still be given them.

Eligible Units[]
These are the only units capable of equipping Status Strengthening items from the Attack category. More are usually added to the list with each game update, which occurs approximately once a fortnight.
Starting from 7.2.0, some units may be eligible for a second round of status strengthening items. This second batch is applied as a completely secondary group compared to the first one.
