Stray Ghost is the two hundred and thirty-third Extra Ops and the fifty-seventh Marathon introduced in Metal Slug Attack.

Story

Damian and Achetto are fighting the Rebel Army on the battlefield when a black flame engulfs the former. Damian soon finds himself in a strange area with a mysterious woman who isn't happy with his presence. They are surrounded by many demons and grudge soldiers, who intend to play before killing them.

Ichima then arrives and tells Damian that they are in a land of hatred, and that the monsters will bring him to the land of the dead. Damian refuses to die, as he wishes to stay by his master's side and taps into untouched power, turning his left side completely pitch-black.

Recalling when Mira had renewed his life, Damian sees Mira's darkness as his hope and easily cuts down the ghostly army. Ichima, having survived the onslaught, tells him that she came to make an offering and warns him that he will eventually be consumed by the darkness. Damian dismisses her claims as absurd but is unable to capture her. Sorceress then arrives, having flown into the sky to avoid his attacks and tells him that she found a way out.

Returning to base, Damian proudly boasts his new powers to a weary Achetto, since he keeps showing off repeatedly to her. Achetto decides to slice him vertically in half, with Sorceress agreeing to join in, much to Damian's dismay.
