Task Force 22nd is the two hundred and eighty-fourth Extra Ops introduced in Metal Slug Attack.
Story[]
At an arctic area, a strange alien asks Claris if "it's really here", as the Mars People were making a big fuss over a "piece of star". Claris tells the alien, Malkuth, that she knows it's here. Malkuth remarks on the potential properties of the "piece of star" and decides that it would be best to claim it before the Earthlings could.
Elsewhere, Molly and Amber are exploring a huge hole in the mountain alongside the latest Pile Impact Ver.Bison, a variant of their own that even ordinary soldiers could use. Amber questions as to why they came, which was a result of intermittent explosions near their garrison which warranted investigation and testing of the new Pile Impact. The Regular Army then runs into Malkuth and Claris, who nearly gets Molly to join in when Amber stops her. Upset, the aliens attack.
During the battle, the pilots of the Bison are knocked out and both Molly and Amber are in a near catastrophic situation themselves. Malkuth commends Claris' ability to use the universe before asking her if she found the "piece of star" again. Molly activates the plasma pile as the two aliens try to communicate with the universe; before the attack connects, Claris asks Malkuth to use the "The Place of Birth" to teleport out as a meteorite starts to fall down. Elsewhere, Malkuth remarks on how Claris found the 77th "piece of star" and that they should return to the mountain and eliminate any humans they would run into. Claris agrees, but asks to rest as they gather some universal energy.
