Task Force 5th is the one hundred and seventy-fifth Extra Ops introduced in Metal Slug Attack.
Story[]
Two Regular Army soldiers are excited over the new M.D.P.S weapons they're getting, while Rita looks on in disappointment because she can't use them.
In a flashback, Roberto and Avvio are talking about some of the latest weapons, while Rita is disappointed because she isn't good with machinery. Avvio notes that she's actually depressed, but tells her that she shouldn't worry over it, as her legs are stronger than the weapons they're making.
Back in the present, Rocky and Midori console Rita. Rocky tells her that it took her a while to catch up to everyone else, while Midori promises to make Rita a weapon she'll like, raising her spirits.
Midori creates new leg weaponry for Rita to use, which she deploys against the D-GU in the ruins. Caroline and Towa are secretly observing the fight. Rita overwhelms the D-GU with her new weapon, but she relents from destroying it at the last second, instead stating that she'll be "serious" in their next encounter. D-GU runs off, and Caroline understands that Rita wants a rematch in the future, proud of her D-GU for getting a rival. Towa is perplexed how Caroline is able to understand D-GU as she isn't carrying the translator.
