United Front the 22nd is the one hundred and sixty-second Extra Ops introduced in Metal Slug Attack.

Story

Amadeus personnel talk about their excitement of the Golden Sergeant Drill. Though they know Allen is piloting it, they believe their AI will allow them to win, and wait for the announcement.

Alma prepares her announcement with Otto, who reminds her not to mess up or Amadeus will cut their research again. As Alma starts reading the scripted speech, Iron Fortress suddenly comes in and interrupts the speech by stating that she hates her sister. Alma barely manages to calm Iron Fortress down as she launches a missile at the two. First Baby then arrives, but Iron Fortress is unhappy at her presence and sends numerous missiles at the three before leaving the base. Otto protects Alma the best he can from the missiles, though some of them manage to get through; both survive, however.

Alma then orders everyone to get the Iron Fortress back, because she's Amadeus' favorite AI.

At the battlefield, Allen is disappointed that no one is coming to challenge him. Destrade states that he is just too strong, while Huracan thinks about challenging him. Loretta is slightly annoyed by the conversation just as a Rebel soldier comes in and informs Allen of the situation regarding Amadeus' announcement.

Iron Fortress runs into the battlefield where Allen Platoon is waiting for her. Allen is particularly annoyed that she ruined his United Front, and she gets surrounded by him, Destrade and Huracan and starts taking severe damage. First Baby manages to find her, and tells her to run. Iron Fortress initially states that she's not returning to the base, but after seeing that First Baby is protecting her, has a change of heart and returns to base.

Alma is happy that Fortress returned to base, though Otto believes that she just did because she had no other choice due to the severe damage she took from Allen Platoon. Due to Alma ordering everyone to chase the Iron Fortress, Amadeus shuttered her lab and moved her into a room with no running water or electricity. Alma asks Otto to help her out for a day, which he grudgingly takes. She then spots a United Coin on her desk, to which Otto states that she get something to eat with it as her stomach grumbles.
