United Front the 23rd is the one hundred and sixty-seventh Extra Ops introduced in Metal Slug Attack.
Story[]
The Regular Army conducts an operation and two soldiers communicate with each other. However, the pilot suddenly disappears after noticing the enemy doing something.
At the Rebel Army base, one soldier apparently flees his post, angering the other for neglection of duty. The fleeing soldier tells his comrade that the post has been annihilated and that he doesn't want to die, just as he fades away.
Back at the Regular Army base, S.P.A.R.R.O.W.S is informed of the situation. Eri states that everyone leaves alone in the end, much to Fio's surprise as this is not something to take lightly. Eri is in charge of using the new Golden Ball Slug. There have been reports of people suddenly turning into ash, and Tarma disappears while speaking with Eri over the radio.
Elsewhere, Mira begins to wipe out those she deems unfit with her magic, with Achetto and Damian by her side.
Mira is annoyed with how the people are struggling to stay alive, as the present holds no value. Achetto informs her that Damian is still fighting the twins. Despite everything that has happened, Elena and Licht continue to fight, empowered by hope. Following the operation, Licht wants to go after Mira, but Elena suggests that he rest up as there's no point in fighting while tired.
