United Front the 28th is the one hundred and ninety-sixth Extra Ops introduced in Metal Slug Attack.

Story

Perche continues to remember the words of her idol to remember why she joined the Regular Army. At the base, Ami returns from a mission, only to be given another by the researchers. A rookie soldier looks on before remembering Perche and asks her how the cleaning is progressing; as usual, Perche makes sure that the floor is sparkling clean. Rocky then interrupts them, stating that Perche did such a good job that she had nothing to do. The soldier remembers that Sophia was going to punish her for destroying the wall, but Rocky nonchalantly states that it isn't her fault the walls of the base are weak.

The soldier then asks Perche where Ulala went, who tells him that she wanted to adjust her suit and was going to her parents' place. Rocky then notices Perche's new body suit, who tells her that it's significantly improved over her original, but hasn't been tested in actual combat yet.

A radio broadcast from Marco soon comes in authorizing a United Front operation against the Rebel Army. Perche and Rocky decide to help out, but the soldier reminds them that they're on standby and aren't supposed to participate. Perche is initially hesitant, but Rocky convinces her to tag along. The soldier informs them not to blame him should Sophia punish them after the operation.

At the battlefield, one of the more experienced soldiers spots a child and warns them to hide as a missile is fired. The soldier is unable to reach the child as the missile explodes. Perche saves the child and is relatively undamaged from the direct hit thanks to her M.D.P exoskeleton suit, and takes them away from the battlefield.

Back at the base, Rocky compliments Perche for her contribution in the battle. Perche is a bit upset she didn't get as much United Coins as she'd like, while Rocky offers to take the child to the evacuation zone as she patches herself up. The child refuses to, wanting to introduce Perche to their mother. The child vividly tells Rocky how Perche took care of all the enemies and calls her their hero, much to Perche's surprise.
