The Regular Army is in battle with the Rebel Army, who have deployed the Golden Cabrakan and numerous self-destructing pods into the fray. Eri, in new gear, takes cover when Avvio also appears and takes cover alongside her. Eri scolds him before Midori and Rita arrive, who drag Avvio with them on their helicopter and put him into the middle of the battlefield, where he takes out numerous pods with precise shots.
Avvio manages to reach the Rebel commander, who is Katalina. He tries to hit on her, but Katalina simply ignores him and is told by one of her subordinates that most of the pods have been destroyed and advises to withdraw. She heeds his advice and orders a retreat, using reserve pods to cover them. Eri and the others arrive and try to capture her, but the amount of pods is too much for them to handle and she successfully escapes.
With the remaining pods destroyed, Avvio is upset that Eri called Katalina out by name and that she did not even bother to answer him. Annoyed with his manners, Eri orders Rita to dropkick him, who is more than happy to comply.
